During the Vivid installation process I get the following error. How do I fix it?
This is a common symptom of the Windows Application Event Log being full and this causes the error. One way to fix this is to clear the application event log.
- Go to Start> Run > Eventvwr.exe
- Find the Application Log (under Windows Logs), right-click and select “Clear Log…”
- Try to install Vivid again
Vivid installed, but when I start Excel, there is no Vivid tab in the ribbon. How can I get the Vivid tab to appear?
Vivid may have become inadvertently disabled. We'll attempt to enable Vivid, with these steps.
For Excel 2010
- Start Excel 2010
- Click File->Options
- Click Add-Ins
- In the "Manage:" drop-down select "Disabled Items" then click "Go..."
- If "Vivid" is in the list, select it then click "Enable"
For Excel 2007
- Start Excel 2007
- Click the Office Logo in the upper-left
- Click "Excel Options" in the lower-right
- Click "Add-Ins"
- In the "Manage:" drop-down select "Disabled Items" then click "Go..."
- If "Vivid" is in the list, select it then click "Enable"
If that doesn't enable Vivid, please send an email to
