This course is designed for developers who are just getting started with SSIS. The instructor will explain the fundamental concepts of SSIS, along with the patterns and practices for using it effectively. The use of Mist and Biml to accelerate development and increase productivity will also be covered.

The class is divided into two primary sections to ensure that you will be successful building SSIS and SQL Server solutions with Mist and Biml:

• 3 days of training on core SSIS concepts and patterns from a Varigence certified instructor
• 2 days of Mist and Biml training from a Varigence certified instructor

• Basic understanding of dimensional modeling
• Some familiarity with C# or VB.NET for scripting

• Understand the modeling of a star-schema data mart using Mist and Biml
• Implement an extract, transform, and load process using SSIS, Mist, and Biml
• Script the generation of packages for data staging scenarios
• Understand the effect of transformer scripts on Biml
