Never Leave Microsoft Excel
Vivid adds business intelligence enhancements on top of Excel as an addin, rather than replicating Excel's functionality in a separate tool.
Faster Analysis
With Vivid you can perform rapid analysis and slash the time it takes to build meaningful pivot tables and charts with search, smart filtering, instant pivot table transformations, and date intelligence. Vivid accelerates your work and stays out of your way.
Smarter Analytics
Powerful features including cube search, advanced transformations such as cross drill, MDX visualization and editing, and date intelligence give you the power of a standalone client directly within Excel.
Collaborative Comments
Vivid enables everyone to share new insights on your company’s data with powerful comments that are richer, more discoverable, and support in-depth discussions without leaving your worksheet. As easy as ever, but far more powerful.
Simple Self-service Business Intelligence
Vivid gives you self-service BI and makes business intelligence accessible to everyone with intuitive UI, smart filtering, client-side perspectives, and sophisticated Date Intelligence technology.
Power Pivot Support
The advanced productivity features provided by Vivid are now available when using PowerPivot pivot tables. Both Sharepoint hosted and embedded PowerPivot cubes will benefit from the Vivid enhancements -- everything from the Vivid pivot table editor to client-side perspectives and more.
Client-Side Perspectives in Excel
Vivid allows you to create calculations and named sets with our simple MDX editor. You can also hide any aspect of the cube so that users aren't overwhelmed or confused. And you can create virtual hierarchies and dimensions to really create the perfect view of the cube. All of this done directly in Excel, without impacting the server at all. Cube perspectives - entirely on the client.
Central Workbook Repository
With the optional Vivid Server, eliminate confusion about where the latest version of a workbook is located or which SharePoint folder should be used. The files are stored in one central repository, with the files permissioned by role and organization. Downloading files is just two clicks, right from the Excel ribbon.
