To view members of a hierarchy, right click any hierarchy in the pivot table editor and select View Members on the context menu.
The View Members window opens, and the members in the hierarchy are displayed. Attribute members are displayed in a list, but user hierarchies are displayed as a tree.
If the number of members in a hierarchy is large, a scroll bar appears in the window. In addition, you can enter search terms to limit the list. And since the view members window loads the members on demand, you will be notified if you need to load all of the members in order to get 100% accurate search results.
Because it can take a long time to retrieve the members from the server if the hierarchy is large, Vivid runs this request in the background so that you can continue to use Excel and Vivid. The Background Task pane shows the list of tasks that are currently running in the background.
You can click a member in the list to add it to the pivot table filter.
