Updating Reports on the Vivid Server

After downloading and altering a report, you can publish any changes that you make. When you publish a modified report, you have the option of uploading the report as a “new” report or as an “update” of the original report.

To publish a new report, ensure that the Create New Report radio button is selected in the Publish task pane. To upload the report as an update, select the Update Report radio button.

If you select Update Report, you also have the option to Delete older versions of report. Selecting this option removes all of the previous versions of the report from the server, keeping only the latest version of the report. If you do not select this option, the older versions are retained on the server.

Updating a report, like creating a new report, requires that a local copy of the report exist. Therefore, you may be prompted to save the copy of your report locally before it is uploaded to the server.
