To view the rolling average for a measure over a specified period, complete these steps:

1. In the pivot table overlay, right click the measure for which you want to view rolling results.
2. Select Time Functions and then Rolling Result from the context menu.

3. Type the name of the new rolling result measure.
4. Select the time hierarchy to lag and enter the number of periods to lag.
5. Select the aggregation operation.
6. Click OK.

The new measure now appears in the overlay, and the corresponding calculation is added to the pivot table editor.
