The Last N Periods feature gives you the ability to generate a named set that contains the last N periods from a specific date member.
To set up Last N Periods, complete these steps:
- Right-click a hierarchy in a date dimension and select View Members.

- In the data hierarchy, select the member that you want to generate the last N members from.

The Last N Periods dialog box. - Specify a name for the named set and how many periods to go back. Note that the Last N Periods generated name set will include the member that you selected from the View Members dialog.
You can use the resulting named set just as you would use any other named set. See below for an example of using the named set in the previous steps.
